US and Turkey Agree to Ceasefire in Syria
ERBIL — US Vice President Mike Pence announced that he has reached an agreement with Turkey to end the Turkish offensive in Syrian Kurdistan.
According to Pence, the ceasefire will be active immediately, and it will give the Kurdish forces the ability to withdraw from the border territories within 120 hours.
“We will work with YPG members… to facilitate and orderly withdraw,” Pence said about the Kurdish armed forces who make up the majority of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
